30 Year Shingles

Class 4 Impact Resistant Shingles

30 Year Shingles

TAMKO Storm Fighter FLEX 4 shingles, class 4 impact rated

Laminated Dimensional Shingle Laminated shingles, also called a 30-year or Architectural shingle, offer a completely different look for shingle roofing. Laminates are constructed in two parts, giving the appearance of a more deep and thicker shingle. They are heavier than their 25-year shingle and they provide a much nicer look.  Laminates are made in approximately 18 colors. The colors of granulation are also more varied and special effects called Shadow Banding give them much more depth. Laminates are tougher than 3-tabs and resist wind damage better than 3-tabs. We highly recommend this type of shingle. If you currently have 3-tabs on your home, the small cost of this upgrade is perhaps the best investment to protect your home and increase it's curb appeal!

Wood Shakes/Shingles

Cedar shakes and shingles have been around for more than 200 years. Their natural beauty and architectural versatility have made this material a favorite among architects, builders and homeowners. Cedar lends itself to patterned roofs ranging from "fancy butt" shingles to "ocean wave" patterns. Cedar shakes and shingles are built to withstand the elements such as winds exceeding 120mph, extreme temperatures and freeze-thaw conditions found across North America. Cedar's cellular structure makes it an excellent insulator, keeping your home cooler in the summer and warmer in the winter. Wood shakes and wood shingles are manufactured from western red cedar, cypress, pine and redwood trees. Shakes are split from logs and reshaped by manufacturers for commercial use. Smooth-sawn shingles, rough-hewn split cedar shakes or thick taper-sawn shakes will enhance your home's appearance.
